The Hungarian students of Babes Bolyai University achieved great success
Students of the Hungarian Institute of Economics and Business Administration at Babeș Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca achieved the most outstanding student results in economics training in Hungarian in Transylvania to date at the world-class NHH International Case Competition held in Bergen, Norway from October 7-11, 2019. Tamás Barabási (3rd year in Economic Informatics), András Borsos (3rd year in Finance and Banking), Zsolt Jakó (3rd year in Management) and Eszter Molnár (Economic Informatics) competing with the teams of American, Asian and Western European universities 3rd year), the team from Cluj-Napoca was the first in the group to reach the three-team grand final of the competition, where it shared a second place, which can be read in the university's announcement.
During the group rounds, the team from Cluj-Napoca managed to overtake the teams from BI Norwegian Business School, City University of Hong Kong and host NHH Norwegian School of Economics with a practical solution to the challenges of Norge Coop. In the grand final, where the team also performed outstandingly, the American Georgetown University as well as the later winning Australian University of Technology Sydney were the opponents, according to the announcement.
Hungarian economics students in Cluj-Napoca achieved this unparalleled success shortly after their teams of university colleagues won a runner-up at Georgetown University in Washington, D.C., and placed second in the University of Maastricht's 10-hour round of the Solvers Cup in Budapest.
