Half of us have reached the regular season of football 1st League, after the league break, the last, 13th round of the finalists will be held at the end of the week. On Saturday’s game day, a fan will be played in Cluj-Napoca, with the leading CFR welcoming third-place Univerisitatea Craiova.

The league break was good for the CFR, but the league and EL matches are coming back in line. Previous recording • Photo: Facebook / Fotbal Club CFR

Prior to the clash, defending Cluj-Napoca head coach Dan Petrescu made a statement at a press conference about his team and the upcoming opponent. He said it was a good time for them to take a league break due to national team matches as they have had a lot of matches lately.

“It separates that in this meeting, too, we play with the same attitude as in training and in the preparation match against Sănătatea (last weekend the CFR defeated its third-class opponent to 5-0, ed. Note).

We have a lot of players, there is a lot of competition to get on the starting team, I have to choose the ones in the best shape ”.

Concerning the opponent, Dan Petrescu put it, with the latest certificates, Craiova has become a much stronger team and even more dangerous in attack. He expects a heated match, he believes the result will be close this time as well, as in previous meetings between the two teams.

The CFR head coach has once again expressed his displeasure with the U21 rule because he thinks in a “normal” league he could decide which players to send to the field, so he can do nothing but adapt. At the same time

considers it unfair that he cannot adequately prepare the team for next week’s Europa League match against Rennes, as he is not preceded by the same players playing in the league.

You have to swap up to six or seven players from one match to another at the start, and as far as performance is concerned, it doesn’t fit your coaching style at all.

Saturday night’s match will decide the identity of the new leader of the list, as thanks to his better goal difference, leading-edge CFR is just one point ahead of the third-ranked Craiova ensemble, currently led by former Romanian federal captain Victor Pițurcă.
