STANIMIR MARINOV, NEW QUIMPER LEADER

In search of a player referenced to lead his team next season, Quimper got hold of the Bulgarian international Stanimir Marinov (1.93m, 27 years old) who played in Romania in Cluj-Napoca last season .

Trained in Botevgrad, Marinov has been on the road a lot since, passing through Kosovo and Ukraine, without ever managing to stabilize. In the Romanian league, he averaged 9.3 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.3 assists on average per game last season.

He also participated in all of the 2019 World Cup qualification matches with his national team, accumulating an average of 11.1 points and 4.1 assists per game alongside Dee Bost in the back positions. He had notably compiled 6 points and 4 assists in the Bulgarian victory against the French team (74-68) last September. This is reassuring about its ability to adapt quickly to the anteroom of the elite.
