Oberstetten Tramprennen to Romania: The way to Cluj-Napoca is the goal | Südwest Presse Online
During these days, around 60 participants are driving a car stop from Germany to Cluj-Napoca in Romania. Among them also Kai Tress from Oberstetten and his team partner Yvonne Tietze. They started with the team name "Thumbs in the Wind" on August 17th in Görlitz. Nine teams are traveling together on one of the three routes set by the organizers. The daily goals are specified.
However, on the first day for “Thumbs in the Wind” it became clear that not everything went according to plan. They only reached their first stage destination - Horny-Vltovice in the Czech Republic - on Sunday, the day of the break, since only every second day is traveled. On Monday, "there was initially a downturn of several hours," as Kai Tress reports, before they reached Krumlov and unscheduled overnight there to visit the old town. Starting problems and detours meant that they ultimately had to skip the second stage goal and were given permission to hitchhike straight to Budapest. Info: www.tramprennen.org.
