The low-cost airline Wizz Air will launch a new route between Cluj-Napoca and Lyon in the fall, strengthening its Romanian base also allowing it to increase service to Beauvais.
The Hungarian specialist in low-cost flights will base a seventh 180-seat Airbus A320 this fall at Cluj-Avram Iancu airport this autumn, allowing it to open two routes and strengthen seven others. From November 20, 2018, it will offer two flights per week to Lyon-Saint Exupéry, with departures from Romania Tuesday and Saturday at 2:15 p.m. to arrive at 3:45 p.m. and returns from France at 4:15 p.m. to land at 7:40 p.m. Wizz Air will be without competition on this route offered from 19.99 euros one way; it has also served Lyon from Warsaw since June 2017.
Another novelty for the low cost in Cluj-Napoca, still without competition, two weekly rotations to Vienna-Schwechat launched from May 30, Wednesday and Sunday, which will become three from October 28 then four on November 20 (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday).
Wizz Air will also strengthen seven routes from its Romanian base, starting with the one to Beauvais-Tillé which will increase from 6 to 9 flights per week next winter: it will offer a daily flight at the airport north of Paris at 9:05 a.m. (arrival at 12:40 p.m.) plus two rotations on Monday and Friday at 9:20 p.m. (arrival the next day at 12:55 a.m.), return flights leaving Cluj-Napoca every day at 6:30 a.m. (arrival at 8:20 a.m.) and Monday and Friday at 7:00 p.m. (arrival at 8.50 p.m.). Low cost is without direct or indirect competition on this axis, one of the 14 offered in Beauvais (including Bucharest, Craiova, Iasi, Sibiu and Timisoara in Romania).
The other frequency increases planned from Cluj-Napoca are on the links to London-Luton (from 19 to 21 flights per week), to Doncaster (from 2 to 3), to Dortmund (from 4 to 5) , to Madrid (from 4 to 6), to Rome-Fiumicino (from 4 to 7) and finally to Bucharest (from 10 to 13). A total of 21 additional rotations operated by the new Airbus from Cluj-Napoca, where investment since 2007 has now amounted to nearly $ 770 million; this year it offers more than 2.1 million seats on 36 routes to 18 countries.
Sorina Ratz, Acting Director of Corporate Communications at Wizz Air, said in a statement: we are delighted to continue growing as 2018 will be another year of great expansion for Wizz Air across the country, with 4 new aircraft joining the fleet and 18 new routes from this year. In 2018, low cost offers a total of more than 8.9 million seats for sale from 10 Romanian airports on 147 routes to 21 countries; A total of 25 aircraft will be based in the country, including seven 230-seat A321s.

Bulgaria France should also be developed. I am impatiently awaiting my Sofia Toulouse to avoid typing me each time 300 euros by plane and a connection which puts travel time at 6 hours minimum instead of 3 hours live
Toulouse-Sofia but of course. Already that Toulouse-Vienne does not exist You were going to tell me that after the announcement of a Toulouse-Châteauroux flight we can expect a lot from TLS.
