Six people were injured in a road accident in Cluj-Napoca, in which an ambulance and a taxi were involved, the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) Cluj informed on Saturday morning.

A road accident took place in Avram Iancu Square in Cluj-Napoca, with two vehicles involved. The driver of an ambulance, a 43-year-old man from Dej, entered the intersection on the red traffic light, with the acoustic and light signals in operation. He was hit by a taxi that was driving regularly on the green color and was driven by a 37-year-old man from Cluj-Napoca. As a result of the impact, 6 people were injured. The passenger in the taxi, a 19-year-old girl, was seriously injured, the other 5 passengers, slightly. There were 4 people in the ambulance, a patient, a doctor, a nurse and the driver, the representatives of IPJ Cluj announced.

Two trucks and five ambulances SMURD and SAJ intervened during the night to manage an emergency situation as a result of a road accident, which occurred in Avram Iancu Square, in Cluj-Napoca, around 2.20. Firefighters arrived at the scene and found an overturned ambulance on the side, with the patient it was carrying trapped inside, and another damaged car, in which two other people were trapped. Firefighters used special equipment to extract the three people without aggravating their possible injuries and supported the medical crews to provide them with emergency medical care. In total, the medical crews were consulted by six people, from the two vehicles, who were then transported to the hospital in a state of consciousness and cooperating, said the representatives of ISU Cluj.
