6,000 spectators at the "Puck" International Festival

The total number of spectators present at all the events in this edition of the festival is about 6,000. There were performances on the National Theater, the National Opera, the "Gheorghe Dima" National Music Academy, the Student Culture House, the Faculty of Theater and Film within the UBB and the Puck Puppet Theater.
Also, every evening there were representations of students from four universities. These are the Faculty of Theater and Film at the "Babeș-Bolyai" University (UBB), the National University of Theater and Cinematographic Art (UNATC) IL Caragiale in Bucharest, the University of Theater Art and Film in Budapest (Hungary) and the University of Arts from Târgu Mureș.
The second edition of the project "Meeting of Puppet Students" was made with the support of the City of Cluj-Napoca and also included the "Stop Motion in Puppetry" workshop, supported by Canadian artist Magali Chouinard. To these was added the workshop of Commedia dell 'arte, held by the Italian artist Gaspare Nasuto, all with free admission, as well as "Poethree", a relatively new concept, very popular among young people from all over the world, with many interactive moments of poetry and music, organized within the Poethree Collective festival in Cluj-Napoca.
A novelty of the edition was "Meeting of Hungarian Puppet Artists", a project that brought together professional artists from Romania and Hungary in Cluj-Napoca, as well as students and teachers from both countries. The project was carried out with the support of the Department for Interethnic Relations (DRI) within the Romanian Government.
The International Puck Festival 2019 was organized by the Puck Puppet Theater, in partnership with the Puck Friends Association and the Puppet Media Association, with the support of the City Hall of Cluj-Napoca and the DRI and UNITER.
